Our Covid-19 Protocols
We take your health and the health of our staff members seriously. We have a number of systems and protocols in place throughout our practice to protect you and team members. Here are a few of the precautions we take every day.
The Royal College Of Dental Surgeons Of Ontario is the ruling body that governs how all Dentists in Ontario practice dentistry. Click below to read the latest updates on Covid-19 from their website.
Waiting For Entry To our Office
Our doors will be locked to minimize the number of patients walking into the clinic. Please call the office when you arrive.
Our reception team will review the screening questions, obtain your medical history and then let you know when the clinic is ready for your appointment.
Please wear your community mask to our office and inside while you are waiting for treatment.
A staff member will greet you at the door.
Pre-screening Upon Arrival
We will continue to pre-screen patients using the latest guidance from the Government of Ontario and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. The initial pre-screening will take place over the phone and you’ll be assessed again when you arrive at the office. We ask that all patients who are feeling sick to please reschedule. Any patients who have travelled or been in touch with anyone who has travelled outside of Muskoka should contact the office immediately so that arrangements can be made to reschedule your appointment.
For The Protection of our Staff and Patients, The Following protocols are in effect.
We have air purification units in operatories, to clean the air in the office. These filtration systems reduce airborne pathogens including viruses and bacteria.
All instruments are either disposable or thoroughly sterilized between patients. We’re proud to uphold rigorous sterilization procedures at our office for your protection.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All our dental healthcare professionals wear personal protective equipment to protect themselves and patients. We will also ask you to bring your own mask to wear at all times in the office, except immediately before your treatment.
We’ve arranged the schedule to reduce wait times. Please make every effort to arrive on time for your appointment. If you encounter another patient or staff member, please do your best to maintain two metres of space between you at all times. Unfortunately, we cannot have any other family members besides a parent of young children or caregiver in our reception area at this time.
We are asking patients to remain outside the office or in their cars when they arrive. Please phone the office once you arrive and we will give you instructions to come in.
